INTRODUCTION

You and your partner are free lance magazine reporters and you have answered an ad for a series of articles on the First Ladies of the United States. You were immediately excited about this topic as there have been only 42 presidents. The magazine editor wants you and your partner to use your reference skills to uncover some unusual facts on the life of each of the first ladies.

The group will need to use at least 4 reference sources (web pages, books, and reference books) when searching for your information. This is your chance to prove your abilities and knowledge of reference sources. This could be a big break to get a permanent job at the magazine.

Your task is to create a one page report that will tell interesting and unusual facts about an American First Lady. Your writing, research, and product will be from the viewpoint of an elementary school student. You will 'be' the reporter.

Your presentation will have one picture of the First Lady drawn on the report after it is printed. You will include many interesting facts about your First Lady in your report.
